House Building

Restoring Hope Through Safe and Dignified Homes

Natural disasters, hardship, and displacement leave many families without safe shelter. Through this project, we build durable homes that offer protection, stability, and dignity. A secure home gives families the foundation to rebuild their lives with safety and hope.

"There is no right for the son of Adam other than these things: a house in which he lives, a garment to cover his nakedness, a piece of bread, and water.”

About This Campaign

How your support helps families move from unsafe shelter to secure, permanent homes

Why This Campaign Matters

Many families in Bangladesh live in fragile or temporary shelters that offer little protection from weather, illness, or displacement. Flooding, cyclones, disability, and loss of income often leave families without the means to rebuild safe housing on their own.

A secure home provides more than shelter. It restores dignity, stability, and a foundation for daily life. With a permanent structure, families can live safely, children can study, and households can rebuild with confidence rather than uncertainty.

Our House Building Programme focuses on constructing simple, durable homes for families identified as most vulnerable, including widows, elderly individuals, families affected by disability, and those displaced by natural disasters.

How the Project Works

What Your Support Provides

Each home is built using a simple, durable design that prioritises safety, longevity, and dignity. Construction costs typically include foundation work, walls, roofing, doors, ventilation, labour, and essential finishing.

A basic house costs approximately £700 and is often completed through shared contributions, with multiple donors coming together to fund a single home.

Homes are built for families identified as most vulnerable through local assessments, including widows, elderly individuals, families affected by disability or illness, and those displaced by natural disasters.

All projects are supported by itemised cost records, beneficiary verification, and completion photos, ensuring donations are used responsibly and for their intended purpose.

Our Work

Since 2022, we’ve supported 31 families in Bangladesh through home builds. Each case is assessed locally, delivered with on-the-ground oversight, and documented with photos and updates so donors can see real outcomes.
