Donation Terms & Conditions

1. Use of Donations

All donations are used to support the charitable objectives of QNS Al-Khayr, including but not limited to religious, educational, humanitarian, and community-focused projects.

Where a donation is made to a specific campaign, we will make every reasonable effort to apply the funds accordingly. If circumstances change and the specified project cannot proceed or is fully funded, donations may be redirected to a similar charitable purpose in line with our mission, unless otherwise requested by the donor.

2. Zakat & Non-Zakat Donations

Donors must clearly indicate if their donation is intended as Zakat.

Zakat funds are managed separately and distributed strictly in accordance with Islamic guidelines.

Donations not explicitly marked as Zakat will be treated as Sadaqah or general charity.

3. Refund Policy

Donations are generally non-refundable, as funds are often allocated or distributed shortly after receipt.

Refunds may be considered in exceptional circumstances, such as:

• Duplicate transactions
• Clear administrative or technical errors

Requests must be made within 14 days of the donation date and will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis.

4. Payment Processing

Online donations are processed securely via trusted third-party payment providers.

Offline donations (bank transfer, cheque, or cash) may take 1–7 working days to appear in our records.

QNS Al-Khayr is not responsible for delays or errors caused by banks or payment processors.

5. Receipts & Records

Donation receipts are issued electronically where possible.

Annual donation summaries may be available for recurring donors.

Donors are responsible for retaining receipts for their own records, including tax or Gift Aid purposes.

6. Gift Aid (UK Donors)

If you choose to claim Gift Aid, you confirm that:

• You are a UK taxpayer
• You have paid sufficient Income or Capital Gains Tax to cover the amount claimed
• You understand that HMRC may reclaim Gift Aid if eligibility conditions are not met

7. Data Protection & Privacy

Personal data collected during the donation process is handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy and UK data protection laws.

We do not sell or share donor information with third parties for marketing purposes.

8. Changes to These Terms

QNS Al-Khayr reserves the right to update or amend these Donation Terms & Conditions at any time.

The version published on our website at the time of donation will apply.
